“Extensive water removal, demolition and drying of the foundation incurred a mitigation expense of $17,000. Debris removal and cleanup costs came to $10,000. Damage to items like rugs, baseboards, drapes and furniture had a significant financial impact and the hardwood floors needed to be replaced throughout the home.” With the help of flood insurance, this client had a $5,000 deductible and it saved them about $180,500 of out of pocket financial burden.
