Beth Pearson Serves On Cooley Dickinson Golf FORE Health Event Committee
Pearson Wallace Insurance participated in the 31st Annual Cooley Dickinson Golf FORE Health fundraiser with Beth Pearson serving on the event organization committee.
Here is Cooley Dickinson Hospital’s message to all volunteers, sponsors and supporting community members:
The impact of your support for this tournament is immense. Every dollar raised stays in our community and honors new life. Your generosity ensures that we can breathe new life into the Childbirth Center, transforming it into a warm, welcoming, modern space. Plans for the renovations are being adjusted due to the COVID-19 pandemic and we will begin construction as soon as it is safe for our patients, staff, and community. With your support, the birthing experience will be one of greater comfort and joy for families in our community. While our tournament looked a bit different this year with safety front and center we hope you enjoyed two fun filled and , relaxing days on the course. Your support changes lives-Bringing a baby into the world is one of life’s most memorable experiences. The joy of childbirth continues, even during a pandemic, and because of you mothers, newborns, and their families can access the high quality, compassionate health care they require and deserve. Joanne Marqusee, Cooley Dickinson’s President & CEO, missed seeing you on the course this year and asked us to share the following remarks: “I am in awe of your philanthropic leadership. Your generosity during this challenging year demonstrates an incredible commitment to your neighbors and loved ones throughout the Pioneer Valley. Childbirth is at the core of Cooley’s work and because of you we can respond to our patients’ evolving needs. Thank you for prioritizing the health of our community.”

Amherst Area Golf Tournament to benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center for Hampshire County
One could not have imagined a better day to join together, while safely distanced, to showcase our area's amazing businesses while taking part in this coveted annual golf tradition. This year, a portion of our proceeds was donated to our Chamber member, Children's Advocacy Center of Hampshire County, dedicated to minimizing secondary trauma to child victims by streamlining the handling of cases of child sexual abuse, serious child physical abuse, and child exploitation. Cooley Dickinson Health Care has awarded two $1000 scholarships to Amherst Regional High School seniors in the Class of 2020, continuing the tradition of awarding two scholarships to deserving seniors pursuing business or health related studies.
